Music Electives

Band, chorus, and orchestra are elective courses that are scheduled during the noon hour. While these are elective options, more than 40% of our middle schoolers choose to participate in these courses.

The enrollment process for band and orchestra begins at the end of fifth grade when music directors visit each of our elementary schools to demonstrate a variety of instruments. Families that are interested in pursuing band or orchestra in middle school are invited to attend an instrument fitting in the spring.

Chorus sign-ups take place at the beginning of the school year.
